We bought one in the coral color for my oldest daughter back in December and my engineer husband was so impressed that we purchased another in mint for my youngest daughter. These beds are built heavyduty and can easily accommodate the weight of an adult. The paint appears to be powder coat and is very durable as well. Its the best money we ever spent on bedroom furniture and should not have to do so for a long time as these are built to last.
