It was packaged and padded really well. All I had to do was use a screwdriver to put the screws in. A drill is definitely NOT needed at all. It looks very nice on my door. The mirror image is good. It had a couple of strips of double-sided tape to use to keep it from moving at the bottom when opening and closing the door. I am delighted that I purchased this mirror.
