The chair is ok. We have given it away and only bought it 2 months ago. Our cat just loved to use the sides as a scratching post and the material easily started to fray. Tried covering the sides. Our white dog sat in it and the whole seat became fur covered immediately. If you have pets, I wouldn't recommend this chair. Otherwise, it makes a nice chair for a bedroom/parlor.
