I am not someone who can put things together so I decided to try the service offers to have someone come out together the bed frame. Two men showed up and put it together in just less than an hour. They were professional and cheerful. I havent jumped on the bed, but it looks like it will do nicely for a guest bed. I did notice there werent any sticky strips that my other platform frames have, but I can find something to use if it becomes an issue. So glad I paid the extra to have these fellows come put it together. Worth it!!!
My fiance and I needed a new bed and we bought our daughters bed on back in November 2018. The directions were very easy to follow and everything was properly labled. It was pretty time consuming to put the entire queen size bed together, it took my fiance and I about 4 hours. The most difficult part were the slats. I believe there are 12 per side amd you have a wooden slat that you place a plastic holder on and have to get the plastic part of the holder into the part of the bedframe. Seems easy enough, not so much, we tried with all of our strength to push these plastic pieces into the frame and did not have any look. The directions did not say to do this or that you needed this but we ended up getting a towel and a hammer to set the plastic pieces in place. Other than that the bed was very easy to put together and looks very nice once finished. A lot of people didnt like the drawers and the fact that the bottom and sides are made out of plastic but no one really can see that part in less you leave your drawers open 24/7. Great price and somewhat durable.
Bed arrived with the box intact but the headboard was broken. I reached out to the company direct. They didnt have a replacement headboard available so sent me an entire replacement bed. Was more than expected but exactly what I needed. Simple and easy to put together.
ok this was really easy to put together. There are probably 100 screws to get the whole thing going, but, most of them are for assembling the drawers.
The drawers of this unit are probably the most important consideration. They are extremely light duty. They seem to be made from similar material as a plastic milk jug. If you are familiar with elfa products, they are like a drawer made from the material they use for shelf liners. Ive uploaded a picture where you can see my hand on the other side.
The drawers say they are rated for 40 lbs. The only thing they are really good for in my opinion is clothes storage, which is very useful. I wouldnt recommend shoes unless you put in a liner of some sort. The drawers attach by slotting a screw head into a hole in the frame. Not a very savvy design, but, its functional.
The bed itself is nicely made. It looks a bit more like a piece of office furniture than a bed, the fabric being reminiscent of a cubicle wall. Maybe youre into that kind of thing.
It was fast to put together with two people, maybe 45 minutes. Nicely, the manufacturer includes a bag full of extra screws marked extra.
The instructions were easy to read. One detail, when putting the drawers together, make sure all the screw holes on the frame are pointing in the same direction so you can install the bottom.
It didnt stink too much when we took it out of the box, but we aired it out overnight anyway. You have to sleep on it, but you shouldnt have to breathe it in too.
The main issue with the design is that to open all the drawers you MUST have the bed in the center of the room, or at least, not along a wall. It would be nice if you could make the drawers longer using the already included parts. My daughter left the bed 8 inches from the wall and will put winter clothes in the drawers that are partially blocked. The bed is light enough that its easy to move to access the drawers at the beginning of the season (we live in a warm climate).
Overall I think its a fair bed. Looks nice and sturdy.
Sharp, hard edges and made of thin light weight particle board. I wanted to love this bed but , the use of the word wood is a stretch. The manufacturer only guarantees it for two years that should tell you something. Good for its value.
The instructions are very easy to follow, so assembly was a snap. The wood is good quality, too. The front of the drawers are fabric and match the headboard and footboard. The sides and the bottoms of drawers are made of a thin plastic, perhaps plexiglass. The drawers dont have tracks, they roll on the floor. We set the bed on carpet, and the drawers rolled smoothly. There is no lip on the bed to stop the mattress from slidingI certainly wouldnt let children jump on the bed. I think its a nice bed and were pleased with it. thanks great product.
This bed was affordable however Im a little leary of the slats, they seems a little flimsy. I bought this bed for my 25 year old daughters room and what I needed was something affordable, to get her boxspring and mattress off of the floor and to not have anyroom under bed to collect things. I got exactly what I needed from this bed. It really wasnt hard at all to put together. Had a little help from the bf and it took us maybe just under 2 hours. The drawers are handy, but like a mentioned, a little flimsy, not sure how long itll last. easy assemble, exactly as expected, space saver.
Love this bed looks great, easy to put together by yourself, doesnt take up much space and works great with the foam/hybrid mattress I also ordered on here. Does not require a box spring, not even sure one would work well on the arched slats to be honest.
Only minor complaint is that the two drawers by the headboard side will be obstructed from opening if you have a nightstand on either side of the bed since they take up the full length. Im wor on finding a floating nightstand solution so I dont need to move them to open those drawers.
I had 12 leftover bolts when I had finished setting it up and dont think I missed anything, 8 of the 8s and 4 of the black 1s, everything seems sturdy and solid so Im thin that maybe this is a general use hardware package that ships with other furniture as well and just contained extras.
Curious if anyone else had leftovers Looks solid, easy to assemble.
